Pre-Camp Training will take place online, through Zoom, Google Classroom, and Email. In-Camp Training will be held at Camp beginning the Friday evening before the camp session each staff is serving.
A staff application must be completed. Cedarbrook Camp will do a background check per California State Law. For new staff, references will be required.
Pre-Camp Training is one of the activities required for a camp to be accredited by the American Camp Association. There are specific topics in which all staff are expected to be trained. Some of these are: Safe Touch, Emergency Procedures, Bullying Prevention, and Chain of Command.
As you complete Pre-Camp on your own time, you will:
Staff who have never been to Cedarbrook Camp before will be introduced to the vocabulary used for various activities and the actions which are expected at camp.
All staff will be influencing the lives of our campers. Completing Pre-Camp Training will guarantee that staff will be better prepared to minister to the campers and other staff this summer.
