Parent Information

camp_photo02At Cedarbrook Camp we know that the choice of a summer camp is an important one. There is a core group of Cedarbrook (formerly Camp Cherith) volunteers that have given many years of service to camp, striving to make it a safe place to send your children where we focus on relationships, spiritual growth and fun. We want your camper to leave here saying, “That was great! I made new friends. Can I come back next year?” We want to help them develop an appreciation of the great outdoors, new and lasting friendships, and a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are a Christ centered, interdenominational, not-for-profit Christian Camp.

Association of Cedarbrook Camps is a group of Christ-centered camps throughout the United States dedicated to providing a safe, fun camping experience for youth.

All Cedarbrook camps are dedicated to the fundamentals of our Core Cedarbrook Values:
1. Individual development
2. Outdoor appreciation
3. Intentional community
4. and foremost CHRIST IN ALL WE DO!

We are accredited by the American Camp Association. It is important to us to retain this distinction as it shows our desire to run a quality camp that meets all safety standards of the camping industry.

We are members of the Christian Camp and Conference Association which is an organization committed to promoting Christian values within the camp setting.

Our campers range from entering 3rd grade through 12th grade for boys and girls. Carefully check our weekly schedule for age groups.

Your child’s counselor becomes an integral part of their life at camp. We are very selective about our staff.

• Our staff consists of volunteers who have a special love for children and who are obedient to God’s calling of service.
• All staff are background checked, complete an application and must be approved by our Summer Director.

If you would like to volunteer when your child is at camp, please click on this link to apply for a staff position.

Safety is our prime concern. A healthy, injury-free experience is our goal for the week. There is a nursing station which your camper will visit on opening day during registration. A Registered Nurse is in camp and available for any arising needs 24 hours a day. We are equipped to give first aid care and administer prescribed medications with emergency care less than 30 minutes away. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will be contacted when the Healthcare Provider believes an injury is severe enough to require transport to a hospital or believes an illness is such that the camper needs to be isolated from other campers or sent home.

DETAILED BOUNDARIES. We are very protective with our boundaries, which are only broken when an organized group leaves camp for an activity.

CONTACT US! We are available to you at any time. You may reach us at or by calling the camp office at 909-866-9366. It is our policy that campers do not use cell phones and we discourage phone calls. We, however, do encourage letters be sent to and from camp. Campers love to get mail and often share pictures and news with their cabin groups. Remember parents, to send your notes to your child before they leave for camp to ensure they receive it while at camp.

Behind the Scenes Staff:

BOARD OF DIRECTORS – The Cedarbrook Board of Directors are hands-on leaders with many years of Cedarbrook Camp (formerly Camp Cherith) experience. The board consists of volunteers who have a strong commitment to Christ and to the ministry of Cedarbrook Camp. On any given week at camp you are likely to see more than one board member fulfilling any number of camp positions. Actually, our board members are really campers in disguise!!
